State Fair

Art direction: Paul Sheriff, Temple University, Tyler school of art

In this project, my mission was to develop a range of products – juice, frozen treats, and jam – each inspired by a specific fruit found in various state fairs across the country. One of the primary challenges lay in unifying these diverse products under a single brand identity. To address this, I adopted a kid-friendly approach by introducing adorable monsters as mascots, ensuring that each product not only resonated with its respective state but also felt harmoniously connected within the overarching brand.

Process

To infuse a playful and kid-friendly charm into this brand, I introduced adorable monsters as mascots for each product line. This creative choice stemmed from the Halloween spirit, evoking the kind of delightful products that would have captivated my younger self. My selection of states—New York, New Jersey, and Florida—was influenced by my personal ties to these regions, which made it easier to envision and design illustrations that resonated with each state's unique character, thanks to my personal connection to them.
