The ABC`s Of Failing English
Art direction :,Monica Brodovsky, Temple University, Tyler school of art
Entitled "Why I Failed English Class," my book delves into my personal academic journey, marked by a persistent struggle with note-taking, largely due to my short attention span. Surprisingly, my teachers often remarked on my talent for keeping fellow students engaged and entertained, thanks to the distinctive flair of my notes. Nevertheless, these challenges never deterred my commitment to learning. Instead, I discovered a genuine passion in breathing life into every letter, granting them individual personalities that made my educational journey not only unique but also profoundly enriching.

Process
After coming up with all the stretches of the letters, I fell in love with the sketchy nature of the designs and how they looked in my notebook, this is how I came up with the idea to make the book an actual school notebook. I started by thinking of jobs that could be held by each letter. Once finding ones that had jobs that I liked tried to think of ways to portray the letter doing this job. I really had to think of shape and form in a new way for this project. Trying to find ways to show each letter in a 3d view while also doing some sort of job and retaining its shape as a letter was a very fun and interesting challenge.
